FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis by our clinicians. Generally, these treatments are reserved for individuals with a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 30 or higher, or a BMI of 27+ with a weight-related health condition (such as high blood pressure or pre-diabetes). We cannot prescribe to anyone under 18, or anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
Yes. We offer Synedica 40mg, an oral formulation designed for patients who are uncomfortable with injections. It works to support metabolic rate and curb cravings without the need for weekly needles. You can select this preference during your consultation.
Most of our treatments (including Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Retatrutide) are subcutaneous injections. You will use a pre-filled pen or a diabetic needle to inject a small amount of liquid into the fatty tissue of your stomach, thigh, or upper arm. The needle is very thin, and most patients report little to no pain.
This process is called "Titration." To prevent side effects like nausea, your body needs time to adapt to the medication.
- Weeks 1–4: You start on a low "induction" dose.
- Weeks 5+: If you are tolerating the medication well, we slowly increase the dose every 4 weeks until you reach a maintenance level that provides the best weight loss results.
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal, including nausea, heartburn, indigestion, or constipation. These usually occur during the first few weeks of treatment or after a dose increase and tend to subside as your body adjusts. Staying hydrated and eating smaller meals can help mitigate these effects.
